About Chit2am

Chit2am is a Persian-language (Farsi) rapper and hip-hop artist based in Montreal, Quebec — the first Iranian rapper in the city and the founder of the Yeke Montreal collective. His music blends Farsi lyricism with contemporary hip-hop production.

His catalogue opens with the 2021 album Balmaske and its remix, which set the template for his sound: dense Farsi wordplay over modern beats. A run of 2025 singles — Deevane, Begoo Key, and Moneya — carried that forward, and the 2026 single Vaghean is his latest release. You can read the story behind each of them on the music page.

Rapping in Farsi from Montreal places Chit2am between two worlds — the fast-growing global Persian-rap scene and the North American hip-hop of the city he lives in. That diaspora vantage point, writing in Farsi for listeners scattered across cities, runs through the work.

As the founder of Yeke Montreal, he’s working to build a home for Persian hip-hop in Montreal, one release at a time.
